Efficacy of Bacillus-fortified organic fertiliser in controlling bacterial wilt of tomato in the field

► A novel biocontrol product (BOF) consisting of two bacillus spp. strains and organic fertilizers was developed. ► Ralstonia solanacearum was successfully suppressed by BOF in the greenhouse. ► Suppressiveness of BOF to R. solanacearum in the fields varied along with crop seasons. ► The initial population of R. solanacearum in soil influence the biocontrol effect of BOF.
