Occupancy patterns and niche partitioning within a diverse carnivore community exposed to anthropogenic pressures

► A mixed use landscape in Kenya supports a diverse (21 species) carnivore guild. ► Carnivore occupancy patterns revealed spatial and temporal partitioning. ► Apex predator occupancies were lower in more human-disturbed areas. ► Mesocarnivore occupancy patterns did not support mesopredator release hypothesis. ► Seasonal human settlements and grazing areas promote human-carnivore coexistence.
