Introducing sampling frequency estimation using variograms in water research with the example of nutrient loads in the Kis-Balaton Water Protection System (W Hungary)

► Temporal sampling frequency of a constructed wetland is estimated using variograms. ► A three day sampling is suggested regarding the phosphorous and nitrogen parameters. ► Results are verified using nutrient load estimation.
