Acceptability and suitability of three Liriomyza species as host for the endoparasitoid Phaedrotoma scabriventris: Implication for biological control of leafminers in the vegetable production system of Kenya

► We studied the host preference and suitability of Phaedrotoma scabriventris on three leafminer. ► The parasitoid preferred Liriomyza huidobrensis to L. sativae and L. trifolii. ► The developmental time was similar on the three Liriomyza species. ► Parasitoids were 1.3 times bigger on L. huidobrensis vs. L. sativae and L. trifolii.
