Host suitability and fitness-related parameters of Campoletis sonorensis (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) as a parasitoid of the cabbage looper, Trichoplusia ni (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

► The suitability of Trichoplusia ni as host of Campoletis sonorensis was studied. ► Early 2nd larval instar (3-5 day-old larvae) was the most suitable host stage. ► Parasitoid fitness was affected negatively by early and late larval instars.
