Effect of ground-cover management on spider mites and their phytoseiid natural enemies in clementine mandarin orchards (II): Top-down regulation mechanisms

► Ground cover management affects mite populations in citrus orchards. ► Type I and II phytoseiids consistently appeared in association with Festuca arundinacea. ► Type I and II phytoseiids were never found in association with bare soil. ► Type IV phytoseiids were predominant in trees associated with wild cover. ► Pollen availability may explain phytoseiid relative abundance in the covers.
