Integration of Escherichia coli thioredoxin (trxA) into Beauveria bassiana enhances the fungal tolerance to the stresses of oxidation, heat and UV-B irradiation

► Transgenic fungal strains expressing E. coli trxA show higher thioredoxin activities. ► The enhanced thioredoxin activities increase fungal antioxidant capabilities. ► The transgenic conidia become more resistant to heat (48 °C) and UV-B stresses.
