Biochemical response of diverse organs in adult Danio rerio (zebrafish) exposed to sub-lethal concentrations of microcystin-LR and microcystin-RR: A balneation study

► Effects of sub-lethal concentrations of microcystins on adult zebrafish were examined. ► MC-LR and MC-RR were used for balneation exposure studies. ► Four enzymes were investigated as biomarkers for oxygen mediated toxicity. ► Insights into the oxidative stress response caused by microcystins in zebrafish are provided.
