Responses of Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas populations to abiotic stress in environmentally contrasted estuaries along the Atlantic coast of France

► We compared responses of four oyster populations from contrasted estuaries. ► CgMT4 mRNA expression and MTs protein amount increase with contamination. ► Genetic differentiation is observed for MT4, GS and PGM genes. ► MT4-C and PGM-C allele are associated to metal sensitivity.
