A second look at the interpolatory background of the Euler-Maclaurin quadrature formula

In this paper we complete the results of Schoenberg and Sharma on the interpolatory background of the Euler-Maclaurin quadrature formula by providing a direct proof from the properties of the B-spline of order 2m and of Bernoulli polynomials and numbers.
