Corrosion resistances of amorphous and crystalline Zr-based alloys in simulated seawater

► The corrosion properties of Zr-based glassy and crystalline alloys are investigated. ► The Zr-based alloy ingot has much better corrosion resistance than the glassy one. ► The corrosion resistance of Zr-based alloy is hundreds of times better than 304 L. ► This Zr-based alloy has an attractive prospect for use in a marine environment.
