An electrochemical method for high sensitive detection of nicotine and its interaction with bovine serum albumin

► The interaction of BSA with nicotine was firstly investigated by electrochemical method. ► Poly-o-phenylenediamine (PoPD) film was used as probe to study the interaction. ► BSA/PoPD/GCE showed wide linear range (eight orders of magnitude) for nicotine. ► BSA/PoPD/GCE showed low detection limit for nicotine (55 pM).
