- Carbonization conditions significantly affect the adsorbent properties.
- Heating rate and nitrogen gas flow rate, among other factors such as carbonization temperature and duration were found to be influencing the carbonization process.
- Carbonization process has efficiently increased the BET surface area of raw adsorbent by 99.35%.
- It is not necessary to have a high nitrogen gas flow rate for better adsorbent performance.
