Multivariate Quadrature-Based Moments Methods for turbulent polydisperse gas-liquid systems

► In this paper we compare Monte Carlo with Quadrature-Based Moments Methods. ► DQMOM is compared to CQMOM for the simulation of gas-liquid systems. ► DQMOM is here formulated in a Fully Conservative version. ► Results show that bivariate PBE is necessary to properly describe mass transfer. ► CQMOM turns out to be very accurate and much faster than Monte Carlo simulations.
