Simulations of single bubbles rising through viscous liquids using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics

► Numerical study of single bubble rising through viscous liquid using SPH method. ► New application of SPH based on authors' earlier experience for two-phase flows. ► Problem with sub-kernel micro-mixing of computational particles has been identified. ► Remedy for sub-kernel micro-mixing has been applied. ► Simulations in a good agreement with the available experimental and numerical results.
