Synthesis of silver nano catalyst by gel-casting using response surface methodology

► Ag/CeO2 nano catalysts were successfully fabricated by gel-casting technique. ► A central composite experimental design was used to optimize the parameters. ► Two quadratic model equations were derived for surface area and particle size. ► AM/salt ratio was the most significant factor to maximize catalysts surface area. ► The “DESIGN EXPERT” software was employed to optimize the responses.
