Fe and Ni co-doped TiO2 nanoparticles prepared by alcohol-thermal method: Application in hydrogen evolution by water splitting under visible light irradiation

► Fe-Ni co-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by alcohol-thermal method. ► TiO2 co-doped with Fe and Ni was used in hydrogen evolution by water splitting. ► Studied the electron-hole separation of TiO2 by PL and phosphorescence spectra. ► The mechanism of H2 evolution from water was also investigated.
