Multifunctional properties of hydroxyapatite/titania bio-nano-composites: bioactivity and antimicrobial studies

► HAp/TiO2 composites were prepared by combined high gravity and hydrothermal method. ► It shows excellent in vitro cellular property at lower TiO2 concentration. ► At higher TiO2 concentration it exhibits good antimicrobial property. ► Hence this composite will be a promising material for multifunctional applications.
