Influence of particle size ratio on densification behaviour of AISI H13/AISI M3:2 powder mixture

► Spark plasma sintered AISI H13 was reinforced adding 20 wt.% AISI M3:2. ► The particle size ratio determines the phase distribution affecting densification. ► Near full dense samples are obtained by the lowest H13 particle size (45 μm). ► M3:2 particles affect density only by high H13 particle size (125, 250 μm). ► The finest material H1345μm-20%M3:245μm shows highest hardness and toughness.
