High temperature synthesis of SAPO-34: Applying an L9 Taguchi orthogonal design to investigate the effects of experimental parameters

► SAPO-34, a molecular sieve for light molecule separation and catalytic application. ► SAPO-5 is a by-product (i.e. impurity) in conventional synthesis of SPAO-34. ► We synthesized pure crystalline SPAO-34 (i.e. SAPO-5 free) at high temperature. ► We used L9 Taguchi orthogonal design to optimize effects of synthesis parameters. ► SAPO-34 crystallinity improved at higher temperature and organic template.
