Ball milling preparation and characterization of poly (ether ether ketone)/surface modified silica nanocomposite

► High energy ball milling can be applied to produce PEEK/SiO2 nanocomposite powder. ► Ball milling has a positive effect on particle dispersion into polymer matrix. ► Silica nanoparticle dispersion into PEEK improves by surface modification with GPTMS. ► Surface modification of silica had no remarkable effects on thermal properties of PEEK.
