Optimal sizing of grid-independent hybrid photovoltaic-battery power systems for household sector

This paper is the early stage of a theoretical and experimental study in which two different hybrid power system configurations will be evaluated and compared: (i) PV/B system and (ii) PV/B/fuel cell (FC) system. The aim of the overall study will be the definition of the optimal size, depending on utility characteristics in order to realize the complete grid independency.
