Energy conservation in China: Key provincial sectors at two-digit level

► We identify the keys for energy conversation across China's 31 provinces × 65 sectors. ► The results are visualized in map and matrix tables, and easy for use. ► 39 Industrial sectors by province are classified into three categories for conservation. ► There is large energy wasting in the public management sector. ► There are both urban-rural gap and provincial inequality on electricity consumption.
