Oxy-oil combustion characteristics of an existing furnace

► The influences of oxygen enrichment and operating pressure were examined. ► Air leakage was significantly reduced by elevating the operating pressure. ► CO2 concentration in the flue gas would be affected by the recirculation ratio. ► It is feasible to retrofit existing air-oil furnaces to run oxy-oil combustion.
