Influence of turbulent boundary conditions on RANS simulations of pollutant dispersion in mechanically ventilated enclosures with transitional slot Reynolds number

► The effect of turbulent inlet boundary conditions on CFD of ventilation is studied. ► Flow predictions are moderately affected by inlet turbulence intensity. ► Indoor pollutant concentration is affected up to a factor 2 by turbulent intensity. ► Turbulent length scale at the inlet influences concentration levels up to 20%.
