Comparing the performance of on/off, PID and fuzzy controllers applied to the heating system of an energy-efficient building

The comparison showed that fuzzy logic, properly configured, outperformed both PID and on/off controllers reducing energy consumption of 30-70% and maintaining thermal dissatisfaction between comfort limits for all the monitoring period.
