Therefore the regeneration entransy stored in DW, EDW,R is defined as a function of TR. The entransy utilization parameters ɛDW,CC and ɛDW,Q which represent the corresponding shares of sensible cooling capacity CC and heat input Q in EDW,R are defined. The entransy effectiveness parameter ɛDW,ENTRANSY which is a function of ɛDW,CC and ɛDW,Q is introduced as an alternative performance parameter. The increase in TR results in a decrease in ɛDW,ENTRANSY. Furthermore for the stable operation of the system with CC = 10 kW/kg dry air at TR = 60 °C; the magnitude of ɛDW,ENTRANSY which is between 3.65% and 3.85% is in acceptable conformity with the magnitude of ηDCS. This fact is a verification of the available statements on the similarity of entransy and entropy generation. The introduced entransy effectiveness parameter ɛDW,ENTRANSY has a correspondence with the exergetic system efficiency ηDCS. Therefore it seems to be an alternative performance parameter possibly due to the heat driven nature of the cooling system.
