Energy and emission analyses of renovation scenarios of a Moscow residential district

As for the emission analyses, switching from natural gas to biogas would result in decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, but increasing generation of SO2-equivalent and particulate emissions. A better solution would be to still switch to biogas while maximizing renewable energy production from local non-combustion technologies at the same time.
