Empirical modeling of room air conditioners for building energy analysis

▸ Two apparatus were used to provide data for four room air conditioners. ▸ A detailed experimental study including uncertainty analysis was carried out. ▸ Correlations for cooling capacities and energy efficiency ratios were obtained. ▸ Correlations were integrated into a building hygrothermal model. ▸ Simulations were carried out illustrating performance under different conditions.
