Reservation and allocation policies for influenza vaccines

► Health planners mean-, over-, or under -order vaccines with respect to forecasted demand. ► Three allocation mechanisms of PA, SN, or TN are widely used. ► Service level and fill rate expressions for all three allocation mechanisms are developed. ► Under certain conditions one of the allocation mechanisms outperforms the others. ► These conditions are determined by the health planner's choice of the performance measure.
