A novel fuzzy inference system for predicting roof fall rate in underground coal mines

► Accurate prediction of roof fall using Takagi-Sugeno FIS is proposed in this paper. ► Data collected are used for the efficient analysis of the constructed models. ► Rules are generated by subtractive clustering to model the unlabeled data. ► The results show that FIS based model is the best one.
