- Adsorption of non-aggregated and aggregated mussel adhesive protein is compared.
- The protein in aggregated state adsorbs in a higher amount with slower kinetics.
- The layers formed by mussel adhesive protein are highly resistant toward desorption.
- Non-electrostatic interactions are important for the binding strength to the surface.
