Synthesis and physicochemical characterization of pyrrolidinium based surfactants

► Three newly synthesized pyrrolidinium based surfactants were characterized. ► Mixed liposomes were investigated by fluorescence, DSC, DLS measurements. ► Different exposure of positively charged nitrogen to the bulk was observed. ► Different lipid organization and, in some cases, phase separation were observed.
