Comparison of positional surfactant isomers for displacement of rubisco protein from the air-water interface

► Protein rubisco is the most abundant protein in nature. ► Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDOBS) is one of the most used commercial surfactants. ► Two positional isomers of SDOBS were compared for their interaction with rubisco. ► Deuterated SDOBS isomers were used to provide contrast in neutron reflection study. ► Rubisco displacement is affected by the position of SDOBS isomerisation.
