Alloying and strain hardening effects in abrasive contacts on iron based alloys

Results show a salient influence of all chosen parameters. Deformed zones increase with higher force; strain hardening can be enhanced with higher velocities at all materials. Fe-Cr-Ni ternary alloys show the most distinct strain hardening effect.
