Effect of Mo2C on erosion-corrosion resistance behavior of Ti(C, N)-based cermets

► The addition of Mo2C could improve the erosion resistance of Ti(C, N)-based cermets. ► The surface erosion of Ti(C, N)-based cermets increases with time. ► Microcracks, fracture, debonding and corrosion of the binder are observed. ► Microcracks and fracture decrease with increasing Mo2C content. ► Particle debonding increases with increasing Mo2C content.
