Sliding wear behavior of mesocarbon microbeads based carbon materials

► We firstly studied the sliding wear behavior of MCMBs based carbon materials. ► Carbon material derived from pure MCMBs had poor sliding wear property. ► Ball-milling and doping nano-SiC improved the sliding wear property. ► The sliding wear property was related to grain size, hardness and orientation of basal plane.
