NERC Standards and Standards Compliance: Still a Work in Progress?

The August 2003 blackout served as a wake-up call to all of North America. Several years of detailed assessment and planning by transmission governing bodies have provided a method of systematically improving the integrity of the transmission grid, but processes are still evolving.
