Determination of International Traffic Termination Rate (ITTR) based on International Traffic Outgoing Rates - Case study

Till today, the International Traffic Termination Revenues represent a very important revenue stream for all telecom operators (land-line or mobile). Therefore the rate (ITTR – International Traffic Termination Rate) that will be agreed between operators will have big impact on this revenue. This paper shows how the appropriate ITTR (International Traffic Termination Rate) determined for a Kosovo mobile operator, in a situation that its partner didn't provide the information about the rate they agreed with third parties for termination of third parties traffic to Kosovo. The methodology for this was based on Decision Analysis approach, in combination with MS-Excel tool as facilitator for shortening time for data analyze, the decision Analyze techniques like Pareto Analyze for focusing to the most important elements and Paired Comparison Analyze in order to compare different options (scenarios) with each other, and the Decision Tree for modeling the outcome.
