Analysis of silo flow dynamic effects using ECT and short time fourier transform

The dynamic effects and other related to material conveying processes phenomena have a major impact to the surrounding environment leading to material depreciation or even industrial disasters. The paper describes a new approach to analysis of gravitational solid flow. It becomes as an extension to the measurement data analysis in a manner of the frequency transform (STFT) application for ECT data processing. During experiment, each tomogram was split into five areas called rings and processed separately to obtain more precise information. Additionally, in order to test a correlation between material behaviour in silo and its impact to the container walls the juxtaposition with accelerometers data was used. The experiment results show similarity in time domain between two sensors' responses.
