“BALANCED COORDINATION” – AN OFF-LINE METHOD TO INTEGRATE PUBLIC TRANSPORT VEHICLES INTO COORDINATED LIGHT SIGNAL SYSTEMS

Priority of public transport vehicles has become a common demand on urban traffic control in most cities. Especially in the course of coordinated systems (“green waves”), delays by traffic signals occur quasi systematically. The following report deals with a planning approach to integrate PT vehicles into green waves.
