Knowledge Transfer Centres and Education for Innovation and Technology Management

To improve the current economic situation in the East Balkan Countries and for solving some problems first ideas are presented. The main goal of this paper is to propose a weighted synergy of education (MSc program), innovation (e.g. new appropriate technologies and business methodologies), application oriented research (labs., KTC's) as a approach for improving the economy in such regions. Wider objectives are the improvement of higher education yielding to a better employability of their graduates, a stimulation for the establishment of new efficient companies. Specific target groups that could benefit from the proposal are graduates from the program, Universities and the industry.
