An “off-on” colorimetric chemosensor for selective detection of Al3+, Cr3+ and Fe3+: Its application in molecular logic gate

- An “off-on” colorimetric chemosensor for Al3+, Cr3+ and Fe3+ is developed.
- The receptor BASB works reversibly in presence of Al3+/Cr3+ and F− ions.
- Boolean type logic gate at molecular level is anticipated.
- The binding stoichiometry is studied with 1H NMR and MALDI-TOF spectroscopy.
