Functionalized Au nanoparticles for label-free Raman determination of ppb level benzopyrene in edible oil

- SERS detection of benzopyrene (BaP) in edible oil without pretreatment is proposed.
- SERS substrate is inositol hexaphosphate functionalized gold nanoparticles.
- Substrate with hydrophobicity shows high sensitivity for Raman detection of BaP.
