Two rhodamine derived fluorescence turn-on chemosensors for Hg(II) recognition and sensing: synthesis, characterization and sensing performance

Hg(II) sensing systems were constructed using two rhodamine derived chemosensors and an up-conversion host. The energy transfer between them was confirmed. The sensing mechanism and performance were explored. Good selectivity with linear response towards Hg(II) ions was observed.
