A highly selective fluorescent chemosensor based on thio-β-enaminone analog with a turn-on response for Cu(II) in aqueous media

A highly sensitive and selective fluorescent chemosensor based on thio-β-enaminone analog was synthesized. The sensitivity and selectivity of TBE for the different metal ions was investigated by experimental (UV-visible, fluorescence, and 1H NMR) and theoretical (B3LYP/def2-TZVP) methods.
