Selective fluorescent sensor for mercury(II) ion based on an easy to prepare double naphthalene Schiff base

A new fluorescent molecular sensor G was designed and synthesized by a cheap sensitive method and exhibited single selectivity by naked-eyes under the 365 nm UV lamp on recognition for Hg2+ in DMSO solution through oxidation coordination effect.
