An object-oriented technology of physical modeling, employed for development of multi-component models for marine technological simulators of TRANSAS Technologies company, is presented. Modern liquid cargo handling simulators include wide range of systems, which require development of interactive mathematical models, working in real time. Requirements for physically correct modeling of behavior of system components in different operating states, necessary to allow the proper training, are considered. The complexity of the modeled systems leads to the usage of object-oriented approach, based on the model-based design methodology. Application of “RanD Model Designer” visual modeling software for development of such multi-component models is outlined. The standard components library is described, which has been created on the basis of the object-oriented analysis of the application domain. These components represent the hybrid dynamic behavior of the devices, which are typical for ship cargo handling and auxiliary systems, modeled in the simulator. The ways of simplification of the compound equation system, facilitating the real time calculations, are considered. Resulting mathematical models are used within the Liquid Cargo Handling Simulators, produced by TRANSAS Technologies.
