Nonlinear output regulation via Takagi-Sugeno models: the synchronization case

This paper is concerned with the synchronization of chaotic systems of the same size. The results combine a particular solution of the nonlinear output regulation problem via state feedback with a methodology based on Takagi-Sugeno models and convex expressions. Conditions thus obtained for synchronization are expressed as linear matrix inequalities, which are solved via convex optimization techniques already implemented in commercially available software. The proposed technique is tested for synchronization of classical pairs of chaotic systems such as Rössler, Chen, and Lorenz.
