Improving Maintenance Operations Through Application of Mixed Reality Systems

This paper presents the results of a case study about the application of mixed visualization during the maintenance operation of valves in the context of Petrobras/Coester project. The study goal is to propose the use of advanced visualization interfaces to decrease the operation time of maintenance tasks and provide greater safety for the operator during task performance. The main research question investigates the content generation for mixed reality interface applied to maintenance. It is proposed the integration of CAx, IM and MR systems for extraction and management of information to be shown in visualization mixed interface.
